I grew up in spending summers in Chadwick Beach, New Jersey, so the Jersey Shore has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Summer meant salt air, sandy feet, no shoes, the sound of waves and long days by the water. I worked in Lavallette, NJ serving ice cream and even spent time working on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk—and one summer, Bon Jovi filmed his In and Out of Love music video there while I was working on the boardwalk! Those memories never really left me.
Today, when I look at the water, the horizon or the changing light along the Shore, I don't just see a landscape. I see a lifetime of incredible memories.

As a New Jersey coastal artist and the founder of Studio Robin B, creating original abstract paintings inspired by the Jersey Shore was another part of my life journey. I am an avid local art supporter and becoming an artist was an organic step in immersing myself in that local art scene.

I don't try to paint the ocean exactly as it looks. I paint what it feels like.
The glow of the last light before sunset. The quiet blue of an early morning. The shimmer of sunlight across the water. The energy of a summer day at the beach.
My paintings begin with those moments and evolve through color, texture, movement and instinct. Sometimes the finished piece resembles a particular place. Sometimes it becomes something much more abstract.
Either way, I'm looking for that feeling that makes you want to stay just a little longer.

My original coastal artwork is created for homes that feel collected, relaxed and personal—especially beach houses and coastal interiors where the beauty of the Shore can become part of everyday life.
I want my paintings to give you that little pause when you walk into a room and think:
“Ahhh… I remember this feeling.”
Because for me, that's what the Jersey Shore has always been.
